About El Camino College Community Education Department
El Camino College’s Community Education department provides short-term, not-for-credit classes, workshops, career-training programs and events designed for professional and personal development with a special emphasis on inspiring a sense of wonder and imagination toward life-long learning. College credit is not given for classes conducted by the Community Education department. There are no transcripts or grades.
Prospective Community Education instructors must satisfy at least one of the following requirements:
A master’s degree or bachelor degree related to course subject
Minimum of 2 years of work experience related to course subject
Minimum of 5 years of personal experience related to course subject
Now seeking instructors for Winter/Spring (January-May 2018):
We are always interested in starting new viable not-for-credit classes taught by high-caliber instructors. If you have an idea for a class that we are not currently offering (please acquaint yourself with our online catalog at www.ECCommunityEd.com), please email Betty Sedor, Director for the Community Education department at email@example.com with your proposed subject matter and a concise concept description for the class you wish to teach. Also submit a copy of your resume or CV. If your idea represents a good fit for our program (fulfilling the needs and interests of our community), we will send you an information sheet outlining our payment fee structure and course requirements along with a course proposal form for you to complete.
